Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Excellent and prompt customer service! When I first ordered my product it wasn’t in stock— staff were quick to let me know and offered me comparable products. I ended up waiting for my original order and shipping quick and they stayed in touch with ideas! Thule: The instructions could be a little more detailed. I ended up watching YouTube videos to help me instal. Overall it was easy, and this was the first rack I’ve ever installed and I did it by myself! I was surprised to learn the bike rack is in no way secured inside your vehicle, so.. I store it in my garage when it’s on.
Ordered online, it shipped the same day. Received it 3 days later. There is a little assembly, but, pretty simple. It took me less than 15 minutes to install and no tools were needed. It is adjustable to be used on many different auto types, but, the instructions were very clear about how to adjust it to fit my 2011 Ford Edge. I have used it twice so far to transport my bike. There are a couple of items that are inherent in the design, not a flaw, but, you need to be aware of them. First, you can't use rear window wipers. Second, the back-up alarm goes nuts because it registers a bike less than 6 inches behind you (I tolerate it for the few seconds it takes to back out of my driveway or out of a parking lot). Third, there is a little flexibility, it is held on with straps and clamps, not bolts, so, it bounces a little when you go over bumps or make sharp turns, however, it holds the bike fast to the frame and stays on the car. I use mine to transport my bike on short trips around town to bike trails. On a long trip I would suggest checking that the straps remain tight from time to time during the drive.

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I like the overall design of this rack, but unfortunately after hauling a couple bikes around for a while the point where the crossbar connects has apparently rounded off so the rack swings back and forth. I've used rope to tie the ends of the rack to the car to stop this from getting worse, but it's inconvenient. Note: the hitch connection itself is good and solid, but the point where the crossbar connects to the bar coming from the hitch has gotten loose and there's no way that I can see to tighten it.
I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X with 31x10.5x15 oversized tires and wheels. I installed B6196001 HighRock 4x4 Oversize Tire Carrier by Bestop to carry larger spare tire. I needed a bike carrier that would carry our two crusier bikes and clear my spare tire. After measuring, I ordered: -> S64650 - Swagman 2-bike carrier -> 80300 - 7" Hitch Adapter 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver -> RM-061 - Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches Our order arrived very quickly, etrailer.com upgraded the shipping. All these products arrived well packaged and without damage. In 15 minutes I had every thing assembled, installed on my Jeep and bikes loaded. The bike carrier is very well constructed, finish is excellent and easy to adjust. When adjusting wheel loops and loading bikes, make sure you pay attention to bike pedal position. I chose this extension because I did not want to use the adapter that comes with the bike carrier, I wanted as few parts as possible to keep rattles to a minimum and gives me more options for towing. The anti-rattle bolt/pin firmly secures the bike carrier to the extension and the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch keeps the extension adapter from rattling in the receiver. Road tested approximately 25 miles over rough city roads ( including railroad tracks ), county roads and highway. Bikes traveled very well without any rattles. I can remove my complete setup quickly, fold and put in rear of Jeep if desired. I am very well pleased with my purchase. Note to etrailer: Please consider offering Roadmaster Quiet Hitch in black to match receiver and accessories. Paul In the Land of Oz . . . Just South of the Yellow Brick Road!

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
First-time rack buyer / owner / installer. The rack arrived in a timely fashion, maybe a day or 2 ahead of schedule. It was well packaged. I’m LOVING this bike rack. It was easy to put together and to mount on my new Honda Passport. Thus far, no squeaks in my 2” receiver. Hardest part of initial set-up is figuring out the best way to position two bikes. Trial & error and some patience. The directions weren’t clear as to where the 2 left-over screws went. I found the answer in another review and have posted a pic in case others have the same problem (photo with pen pointing at screw). These screws go in the underneath side of both of the folding arms. They appear to keep the wheel wells from sliding off in case in you drive with an empty, un-folded rack, and forgot to tighten down the wheel wells. The folding arm push / pull pins can be difficult at times. I coated the tips with some lube. That and a little jiggling seems to solve that issue. I guess it’s better for the pins to be snug vs popping right out. I added a small Master lock to the hitch pin (in lieu of the provided cotter pin) as a theft deterrent. I read that a 3/16 shackle lock will fit into the bike clamp down arms to also act as a deterrent. I had an old 3/16 lock that did snugly fit and appeared to be locked. HOWEVER, I yanked on the lock and it came open as there isn’t quite enough clearance for the shackle to lock. I discovered that longer 3/16 shackle locks are hard to find. Have attached a photo of the lock that actually fits and works (Ace Hardware). One lock on the upper clamp down arm will secure both arms as the lower arm can’t be removed without removing the upper arm. The clamp down arms appear to be coated to prevent damage to your bike. I’ve tried a simple rag and ultimately settled on pool noodle pieces as a precautionary measure. I CAN NOT open my tailgate (regardless of whether or not the rack is fold up and in the bike carry position). If that’s a concern for you, then spring for the more costly titling version. My back-up camera still functions.
The Swagman XTC-2 platform bike carrier arrived very quickly from etrailer and in good shape, the actual carrier box is inside another shipper box, which I'm sure helped with its condition. Assembly was relatively quick and painless, even though the instructions could be a little more thorough. Installing the carrier on the back of our Jeep Patriot also was quick, it helps to have an extra ratchet & 3/4" socket laying around for just this purpose. Installing the bikes takes a little patience and trial and error the first time you try and put them on the carrier. It's easy enough to adjust the wheel holders to fit the wheelbase of your bikes, but for us at least, the challenge was trying to swing the vertical support bar up into position after putting on the first bike (closest to the Jeep). We couldn't angle the bike enough toward the Jeep to have the bar clear the bike. We learned that the easiest way to secure the first bike was to remove the ratcheting frame hooks altogether, put the bike in the carrier, swing up the vertical support bar, put in the pin, and then slide one of the frame hooks down on the bar. The outside bike is much easier because you can set the bike in the carrier at whatever angle you need, not being limited by the back of the vehicle. One thing we did to protect the bike frames was to use some foam pipe insulation as cushion between the frame hook and the frame (see pictures). Once you get a system for installing the bikes, it is very quick to load/unload them. The rack seems to be well made and doesn't wiggle excessively when traveling. All in all a good product for a good price, would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a platform bike carrier.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Fits perfectly on our Lexus CT200h. Only on the old LS400, the side straps have to be fastened to the wheel arch edge, since the upper trunklid gap is to narrow for inserting the strap hooks. Mounting of two bikes is (with some routine) quickly done, and they stay safe even for longer and faster routes. For transporting three (mountain) bikes, though, the design doesn't seem big and robust enough. Nevertheless, the price-benefit-fun ratios are way better than reasonable.
The side / bottom straps are seriously lacking. It has those straps you would find on a backpack, making it difficult to securely tighten down because of the angle. I'd usually have to pre-tighten them to a certain length, then forcefully shove the whole rack until it clipped onto my car. They really just need to be ratchet straps. Even then, one of the side straps came off while driving after hitting a small pothole and the whole thing dangled to one side - Luckily I was in a parking lot. I've also never been able to fit 3 regular bikes, only 2. It's really only a capacity of 3 if you have 2-3 slim bikes. The rubber is so wide that it makes it nearly impossible to slide certain bikes on. If you have a step thru bike with one of those crossbar adapters, I wouldn't even bother with trying this. Unfortunately I don't use this anymore since I'd be constantly worrying the whole thing will come off whenever I drive.

Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
The good: I like the way the bikes are held in and the ability to add the upright adapters to the bike frame holders. The straps are quality too. For a jeep with a spare tire, this is the perfect length to clear it. This rack is 5 stars from the bike holders to the base of it. The bad: the 2"receiver adapter and bolt are insufficient. I wish they made this in a solid 2" hitch. The entire setup is held into the receiver by a very short bolt. It only goes about half way into the receiver tube. So your hitch is only "secured" on one side. A hitch pin or bolt should go through the receiver tube completely imo so it can be secured on the other end with a retaining clip or nut. Because this only goes in the one side, the entire weight of the rack plus bikes are held tight to one side of the receiver by the undersized bolt and washer. A few bumps down the road and that bolt loosens. Now instead of distibuting the weight of the rack and bikes on the receiver and post, it's completely up to the bolt to keep you from losing the rack. The bolt threads get damaged too. I took this down a dirt road and nearly lost everything. I had to buy my own bolt with hd fender washers and lock washers to correct this. Thule should've provided this from the start. The current short bolt design where only one side of the receiver secures the rack is unacceptable. This rack is 1 star at best for the connection to the receiver.
I bought this bike rack back in April but wanted to make sure I used it to give the best review. First I want to say I did a lot of research on bike racks and found this one to be the best one to fit my needs. The best price I found was on etrailer.com, at the time it was When I called the customer service to place my order, I spoke to Dan. He was very pleasant on the phone and took the time and listened to what I needed and understood my concerns. I ordered the bike rack and also ordered the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device and the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock. Dan suggested I also get the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, which I never even thought of getting. Delivery was in about two business days, which was really fast and at the time of order they were running a special free delivery over $99. When I went to put it together I noticed I was missing the flat cap screw M6 x 16mm, part number #853-5787-02. I emailed Dan and within 24 hours received an email that the part was sent out and also in the email their was a link to track the order. After I received the part I did notice that the flat cap screw was actually in the 2 inch adaptor sleeve. The instructions were very easy to read, and it took me about 20 minutes to put together. I did have an issue when I positioned the stinger into the cradle, with the 8mm locking nut, it was not staying tight and when I took it off I noticed the threads inside were gone, so I ended up going out to Lowes and buying a new one and its holds perfectly fine. I also had a question about that part because it is not a locking part and was worried someone would try to steal the rack. I contacted etrailer.com to find if they make a locking device for this and they said no but I can contact Thule to double check, I'm still waiting for an answer back from Thule. The weather finally broke and we installed the rack onto my hitch, tightened it and it doesn't rattle. When I finally used the rack and put my bike on, it did sway a little but at 50 mph I was very happy with it. The trailer comes out just enough away from my car that I do not have to fold completely out and I can open my trunk with no issues. I am very happy with my purchase and had a great customer experience with Dan. Would highly recommend ordering from them to anyone.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
etrailer has the best pre- and post-sales customer service I've ever seen! I started out not knowing anything about hitch-mounted racks. So I wrote to etrailer telling them about my car and type of hitch I was about to have installed. Samuel wrote back with lots of great information tailored specifically to my car. He even included a photo that looked just like my 2017 white VW GTI with a hitch and rack installed. Okay something of a coincidence. But the rest of the assistance I got from the crew at etrailer was just as prophetic. I went into this a novice and came out knowing lots more about hitches and racks and finding the rack best suited to my situation. I have a small car, a class 1 hitch and a heavy mountain bike. I got exactly what I needed. As to the Swagman rack itself, it works fine. If I had a different situation I would probably buy a platform rack as they are easier to load. There's no reason to buy a bike rack anywhere else.
First off, thanks to Jason T. or "Troop". The exemplary customer service he provided is rare these days. Troop made several calls to the various manufacturers to ascertain which bike rack would afford me the most ground clearance as my new VW Golf sits low to the ground and my old bike rack frequently scraped the ground when I went up even a slight up hill grade. His efforts paid off as he found me the best bike rack for my car, the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier. It sits up off the ground just high enough that it doesn't scrape on my driveway. It is also sturdy and holds my bikes securely. And, the delivery was amazingly fast. I had my rack in about 2 days! Note to Troop, see my Pittsburgh Pirates Logo on my bumper in the attached pictures? Pirate Fans persevere! The Bucco's will be coming after your Cardinals this year! Thanks again Troop!

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Quick and reliable shipping and was able to take to my mechanic to get it installed and it works perfectly with my bike rack!
This is a very solid product! I have used it for over a year now and love it! I have had up to 3 bikes on this without a problem and have traveled over 8 hours in the car one way with absolutely no issues. Many other bike racks like this one that I see on other cars look unstable this is not unstable in anyway. I did have to file some of the paint off of the rack to get it to fit in my 1 and 1/4" hitch but once that was done it has been perfect. I also bought the locking hitch bolt which is awesome too.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Draw-tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I - 1-1/4 Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Rack - Tilting The Draw-tite Sportframe class 1 trailer hitch and Swagman Trailhead 3 bike rack were ordered for a 2017 Honda Fit. The online order and shipping went just as expected. The trailer hitch and bike rack are very heavy duty. I recommend watching the trailer hitch install video before installing, whereas the video is very helpful. The bike rack has triangles that you can rotate to find the best fit for your bicycle's frame. The rubber straps are thick and secure the bicycles when you pull them tight. This bike rack will stay on the vehicle for 6 months each year. The tilt feature and folding arm feature are must haves for a smaller hatchback. I am pleased with this purchase, it appears to be good quality and good value.
My previous bike rack was a hitch mounted Yakima. It was sturdy but not well suited for my low Subaru Impreza. It stuck out too far and hung too low so that I had to inch my way down the driveway or over speed bumps for fear of it bottoming out. A roof rack or a rear window mounted rack was not suitable since I wanted to be able to also carry two kayaks. First, I tried to modify my rack by shortening the part that sticks out of the hitch. I tried to saw off about 6 inches so it wouldn't stick out so far but the steel was much too hard. I ended up ruining several metal-cutting blades on my power saw before I gave up. I looked for other rack options. There weren't many out there. But eventually, I found something that met my needs. I purchased the "Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Fold Down Bicycle Hitch Rack" in 2013 from eTrailer.com. The part that enters the hitch curves up to increase clearance from the ground. It is sturdy and sticks out far enough so I can still open my trunk hatch without having to lower the main vertical bar on the hitch (though I could if I wanted to). It isn't often I am really excited about a piece of gear but this hitch rack has made me worry-free when I transport my bicycle(s) via car. The only thing I don't like is that it is advertised as being a 3 bike carrier but it only fits 2 hybrid bikes. Maybe it will fit 3 skinny racing bikes but for the average rider, don't expect to fit on more than 2. But my experience is that is the case for all bicycle racks.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
If you've done any research or read any of the other comments on either this rack, or this seller...rest assured they really are as good as everyone says! I ordered my rack on around 4pm est on a Friday afternoon and within an hour I received an email that said they have shipped my product AND upgraded to priority shipping. Can't say enough positive things about the customer service! When the rack arrived, it took me a little over half an hour to get it set up. Probably would e been faster if I were even slightly mechanically inclined (or if didn't I didn't have to borrow a socket wrench from my neighbor). We finally had an opportunity to load up the bikes and head out for a ride today. As others have said, the first time you load up your bikes, it's kind of like a puzzle to get them situated. Took about 15 minutes. This rack is awesome! Very sturdy and the bikes were very secure. Only racks I have had in the past were rooftop fork mount racks. This is so much easier! On e we got to the trail (over an hour drive) getting the bikes off was a piece of cake. Afterwards, it was time to load them back up and it was less than 5 minutes to get them all on and ready to hit the road. There were other 4-bike racks on the website, but this one had enough great reviews that I felt comfortable making the purchase. After the fact, I'm very glad I did! I can't imagine the $800 rack can be that much better than this, and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a 4-bike platform rack. I will definitely recommend this rack and etrailer.com to everyone I know.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 3-Bike Rack. This is gonna be an open-design platform rack that we will take a look at here on our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. The Kuat Transfer is gonna be the entry-level rack in the Kuat line where you don't pay as much as you would for a Sherpa or an NV, but you still get these solid Kuat features. One of those features is tilting away. So if you want something that makes it slightly a bit easier to tilt away, then if you have just one bike loaded, like what we have here, you can actually step into the rack, step on this lever, and then drop your bike rack down to a tilt.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with "etrailer." Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform Style Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. This is going to be a platform style bike rack and it's one of our more premium options. Definitely one of my personal favorites just because the NV is very sleek, very stylish. It works with a wide range of bikes and it's gonna be very easy to use. We'll talk on that all throughout the video here, but right out of the gate I do wanna talk about how it holds the bike.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with "etrailer." Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination Two Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. Now this is going to be a very entry level option for a platform style bike rack. Platform style meaning it holds a bike in these trays and this one is going to have two straps down at the bottom that pull the bike down and in as well as a frame cradle that slides up and down, can be rotated around and has a strap that runs around the bike to hold it in place on this pad. Now that means a couple things. Frame contact means we want to avoid carbon frame bikes but with the way that cradle and pad can be manipulated, moved around and rotated, it does work really well for alternative frame bikes.
CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT premium hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. So this is a hanging style bike rack which means the bike is hanging by the frame up here. It's sitting down into our cradles and held in place with these two rubber straps stretched over the frame with a third one around the seat post here, helping to control our side-to-side movement. It doesn't completely eliminate it but it does help quite a bit. And with this you can hold up to four bikes.
Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp EX on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. A wheel-mounted bike carrier is gonna come in handy for you when you're looking for something that's not gonna make any contact with your frame. So there's no hook here on your top tube. You're just gonna have a hook on the front and rear that's gonna allow you to carry those carbon fiber bikes, bike that you just have a nice paint job and you don't want a contact to, or those unconventional frame bikes, like a step-through bike, for example. Another really cool feature, it's gonna allow you to have access to your cargo area. Yeah, kind of, I didn't want the push, but it's actually a lever that you pull, and it gives you a pretty decent tilt that's gonna allow you to get the hatch all the way open so you can get to the back of your Equinox pretty well.
Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The NV 2.0 is a wheel-mounted bike carrier. So what that means is that the main support for the bike is gonna be this hook on the front wheel, and you have a strap on the rear cradle. That's gonna allow you to secure your bike without having any contact to the top tube. Essentially what that's gonna work best for is gonna be bikes that have carbon fiber frames or unconventional frames like step-through bikes. I'm gonna push the lever in here, and we're gonna tilt our carrier to check out the access to our cargo hatch with our bikes loaded.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The MonoRail is a wheel mounted bike carrier, and that means that it secures your bike to the carrier by making contact with your wheels. If you have a carbon fiber frame bike, a unconventional frame, like a step through, or even just a nice paint job where you didn't want frame contact, wheel mounted bike carriers are gonna be the best way to transport your bike. So let's just take a look at how the bike carrier loaded, interacts with the back of our tailgate here. So we're gonna pull the lever with a handle and we're gonna open up the hatch. So this is gonna give you a great amount of access to your cargo area if you want to take a seat to change your shoes or have a beverage after your ride.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The AfterParty is a wheel-mounted bike carrier that's gonna support your bike, or secure your bike to the carrier by making contact with the front and rear wheel without anything touching the frame. A lot of bike carriers, especially platform style or frame-mounted where they make contact. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, unconventional frame, or just a nice paint job where you didn't want frame contact, wheel mount is generally gonna be the best way to go. What is special about the AfterParty is the fact that it can not only tilt to give you access to the cargo area, it actually swings open, so while keeping your bike on the carrier. So first, let's take a look at our tilt feature.
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So the Tire Hold is like the name implies a wheel mounted bike carrier that holds your bike by the tires. If you have a specialty bike, a bike with a carbon fiber frame or something you just didn't want any contact to your top tube, this is gonna be a great way to secure your bike to the back of your Equinox. One of the things that I think that is kind of limiting on this one is the tilt that it has or lack thereof. You're just gonna pull your latch and this is how much tilt you have. So you won't have enough space to actually open the hatch and get to your cargo area, but you definitely make contact to with your handlebars to the back of your, you know, your back door here.
Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So as you can see, the StageTwo is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna secure your bike using a front hook and a rear strap cradle. This is gonna work for those bikes that have carbon fiber frames, step-through bikes, or if you just have a bike where you don't want any contact to the paint on the top tube. This is gonna work really well for that, 'cause it's gonna give you that extra adjustability to use just about any style bike. As far as on the back of the Equinox, you do have a tilt feature that's gonna allow you to access your cargo area. When you're tilting over, you wanna be cautious if you're maxing out on the capacity, 'cause you're right at 70 pounds per bike on the back of the Equinox.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The NV 2.0 is a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that it has a hook that secures your bike on the front and a strap that secures your rear tire so you don't have any contact on the frame of your bike. A lot of frame mounted carriers are gonna have a hook that goes down on your top tube, and this is gonna prevent that contact if you have a carbon fiber bike or an unconventional bike, like a step through bike. On the back of the Equinox, you can see that it comes in handy to have that tilt feature. If you need to actually get to your cargo area, you just press down the lever and you can open the back quite easily with the mountain bike that I have loaded here. If you have wider handle bars, it may be a concern, but you know, overall I think you have a pretty good amount of space to get to your cargo area.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com. And we're taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro X on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The Piston Pro X is gonna be the top model from Kuat as far as wheel mounted bike carriers. What a wheel mounted bike carrier is gonna do for you It's gonna secure your bike to the back of your vehicle without making any frame contact. If you have a frame mounted carrier, you're gonna have a hook that puts pressure down on your top tube, and this is gonna help you not have that contact with your frame, especially if you have a carbon fiber frame bike bike or unconventional frame like a step through. On the back of the vehicle, it's gonna allow you specifically the Piston Pro, it's gonna allow you to have a tilt feature, where you can access your cargo area pretty easily.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination e-bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The e-bike carrier here, the Destination E is actually a frame-mounted bike carrier. So that's gonna make its contact points right here on your top tube and your front and rear wheel using the cradle system. The thing that's special about the Destination E is the way that the mast is shaped. So it's gonna accommodate a wide variety of different bike styles. So if you have a step through bike or a e-bike that has a different angle to cross tube or even a woman's bike, you'd be able to actually make that contact by sliding the clamp over on the frame where you can.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com. And we're taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 Bike Carrier on the back of our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So the XTC2 Tilt Bike Carrier is a frame mounted bike carrier where you're gonna have a padded hook that secures your bike across your top tube, and you're gonna have two cradles at the bottom. That's gonna allow you to get your bikes on the road with you. However, if you have a carbon fiber frame bike or a bike that has a nice paint job or even a unconventional bike with, you know, a step through frame, this may not be the best option. You may wanna lean more towards a wheel mounted option.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox S44FR
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Dispatch Two Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So the Swagman Dispatch is a nice bike carrier if you're not overly concerned with a frame mounted bike carrier style, that's going to actually come into contact with your top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or a bike with a nice paint job or even a unconventional frame style, like a step through, it may not be the best option. If that's not a concern for you, it'll work pretty well on the back of your vehicle. On the rear of the Equinox, once you have your bikes loaded up, you will not be able to tilt this carrier. So that is something that's kind of a shortcoming of the dispatch.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox S36SR
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Okanagan bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So, looking at this bike carrier and what you may notice is how it's secured to it. This is a wheel-mounted bike carrier and that works really well for people who have carbon fiber bikes, unconventional frame bikes like a step through or just a bike you don't want any contact to the top tube. This is gonna allow you to get two bikes on the road that are up to 45 pounds each. The way that it affects the back of your vehicle is kind of handy 'cause it allows you to still access your cargo area. You can use this green latch and you can lower the bike carrier to the ground.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox KU24FR
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here, with etrailer.com, and we're takin' a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 bike carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So as you can see, the way that your bike's secured to the Transfer is using a hook. This is a wheel-mounted bike carrier. So if you have a bike like a carbon fiber bike or a step through frame, something where you necessarily didn't want contact to the top tube, you're gonna be able to secure your bike without having any issues. Only thing that I have encountered, sometimes if you have fenders that stick out a bit, this isn't necessarily gonna be the best option for you. But on the case of this mountain bike right here, you can see that it works well.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Thule Epos Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. So our bike carrier here is actually kind of unique versus a lot of other types, whereas it is a frame mount and it can also be a wheel-mounted carrier, so that's gonna allow you to get two different types of bikes out on the road. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, a step-through bike, something like that, you can actually adjust your arm to attach to your rear wheel, or if you have a bike where you don't mind that contact on the top tube, then it works out fine, kinda like our e-bike here. Our capacity is sitting here right at 75 pounds for a single bike or 70 pounds for two bikes. So that gives you a lot of flexibility as far as how much you can carry along with you, and let's take a look at how it works with the Equinox. We're gonna push down on our pedal here and activate our tilt feature.
Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Chevy Equinox, we're gonna be checking out the Curt Premium Hitch Model Bike Rack. First impressions of the rack on the back of the Equinox, I think it looks pretty good. I really do like the fact that you can carry around a lot of bikes with this thing. So this particular one holds up to four, but there's also a five-bike version available as well, if you need an extra one, so. Pretty good stuff there.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 two bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of this 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. Now the XC2 is gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these wheel hoops at the bottom and primarily keeping it still with our frame hook up top. That's going to press the bike down into those wheel hoops and keep it secure. Now this is going to be able to handle 35 pounds per bike and because it makes the contact of the frame it isn't the best fit for carbon frame bikes and for alternative frame bikes you're gonna need a bike adapter bar because this hook needs somewhere relatively flat to grab onto to get a good hold on the bike.
Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo bike rack here on our 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. Now the StageTwo's gonna come in this gray color, like you see here, or black. So you can match it to your style and your vehicle. This one I'd say looks pretty good on our silver Equinox today.

So good for some of those heavier bikes and it's going to hold it really solid. It is a frame mount.
RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo Bike Rack Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Today, we have the RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo Bike Rack for your single bike. We're gonna take a look at how this works as well as how it fits on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. This is a very popular style of bike rack, because of how versatile it is, whether you have a heavy electric bike of up to 60 pounds or maybe you have a carbon fiber frame, a step-through frame, you don't need any other adapters. And this takes it to the next level where compared to the RockyMounts MonoRail, the HighNoon FC can carry bikes with fenders. Now, I have my normal mountain bike here without a fender, but I'll show you how this can be used and how it has some extra straps for extra security. First thing we're gonna take a look at though is the tilt away feature.
Swagman Skaha 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman Skaha Two-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The Skaha is definitely a biker rack designed for bikes of different shapes and sizes, especially your heavy electric bikes. You have that 60-pound weight capacity. You have your large wheel cradles for your extra wide tires, and if you get the additional, sold separately ramp and bridge, it makes it really easy to load and unload those bikes. We'll talk about that, but we're in the focus on our Equinox here because this compares to the Skaha Plus, the Skaha has a tilt-away feature.

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty two bike swing away platform rack and how it fits on this 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So the AfterParty is really useful if you want to get a lot more clearance behind your vehicle. It is a bike rack but it also swings away. It's very similar to the RockyMounts GuideRail bike rack. So definitely check that video out if you want a full look at its features. We're gonna focus on the Equinox today though.
